Mirror Yellowstone

The mirror ‘Yellowstone’ is inspired by the image of a small volcanic pond in the famous National Park. The pond in question, due to some minerals present in the ground, is tinged with absolutely incredible colors: yellow, green and orange mix as in a painter’s palette.

The mirror frame is made with colored acrylic (PMMA) blocks glued together and shaped by hand. The mirror is an aluminum plate set in the frame, shaped and mirror polished, after having created corrosive effects using a special mixture of acids and salts.
The mirror measures 150×90 cm, thickness 5.5 cm.
