Awakening of a city – the sky in the pond

Double side acrylic inside plexiglas painting.
Acrylic paint is spread on a clear plexiglas sheet using craft plexiglas spatulas. The painting itself is thought according to the double image it would present on the two differente side of the plexiglas sheet.
Then a second sheet of plexiglas is glued on top of the others, so to imprison the acrylic paint in between the two sheets.
The result is a painting that presents two completely different images on the two sides.

The side A of the painting represents a city in the early morning lights when everything is wakeing up after a silent night. The painting is inspired by the musical composition of Luigi Russolo ‘ Risveglio di una città’ dated 1914, when he directed an orchestra of “intonarumori” , devices of his creation capables of emetting modulable signals (noices).
The side B represents a pond with aquatic plants and flowers with the sky reflected in it.
